The applications group is responsible for:

  • Custom development of web-based systems for DASA units
  • Maintenance and user support for custom systems
  • System administration for vendor applications
  • Administration and user support for web sites

Lisa Miles

Contact Information

Lisa has 24 years experience in non-profit, private, public, and higher ed environments; previous employers include Evergreens Nursing Home, and Piedmont Triad Council of Governments. She has been with NC State for 20 years, building a substantial IT operation for University Housing and later for Campus Life. Lisa and her team merged with DASA Technology Services in 2016, where Lisa serves as Assistant Director.

Lisa earned a B.S. Info Systems & Operations Management for UNC-Greensboro, and two M.S. degrees from East Carolina University — one in Technology Systems and the other in Instructional Technology. She holds certifications in A+, Net+, Security+, Network Technology, and ITIL Foundations, and has completed NC State’s Performance Leadership Program.

John DiMarc

John came to NC State in 2003 and supported the PowerBuilder system used by University Housing at that time.  He also supported and developed the web based applications of that system.  In 2008, John was on the development and implementation team of the new PeopleSoft Housing Information System (HIS).  Prior to coming to NC State, John worked as a consultant and an Applications Developer for the Office of the Registrar at Columbia University in New York.  He has worked with C, C++, Java, Perl, SAS Assembler and a variety of relational databases like Oracle, Sybase and SQL server.

Josh Williams

Josh has been with NC State since 2014; and has over 9 years of experience within Higher Education. Prior to joining the Wolfpack, Josh worked at Georgia Southern University and Florida State. Previous to DASA Tech, he worked with Campus Life encompassing Housing and the Fraternity & Sorority Life. His responsibilities include the creation and management of custom applications that are used in conjunction with MyPack Portal, updating content management systems throughout the division and addressing legacy issues with older programs.

Josh earned a B.S. in Information Technology from the University of West Florida, an M.S. from Florida State and a MBA from Georgia Southern University. He has certifications in A+ and is a ServiceNow certified application developer.

Justin Reilly

Justin has worked in education since establishing his IT career in 2012. After getting his start in K-12 education, where he served as Help Desk Manager and Systems Administrator then IT Director, he moved to higher education when he became a member of DASA Tech in 2016. Currently, Justin serves as System Administrator for a portfolio of applications used within DASA as well as across campus – providing consultations, support, and training. Additionally, he represents the division by serving on technical steering teams, advisory boards, and committees. Prior to IT, Justin worked in human services supporting a wide range of individuals with disabilities.

Justin holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Arizona State University, a MicroMasters certificate in Information Systems from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and professional certificates in Fundamentals of Management, Leadership Essentials, and Project & Program Management from NC State’s Learning and Organizational Development programs. He is also ITIL 4 Foundation certified.

Adam Bernot

Adam joined NC State in April 2019, transitioning from a 10 year career in student affairs at Wake Forest University, Spring Hill College, and UC San Diego. Adam is now a Web Developer, responsible for the technical administration of WordPress sites within DASA, and supporting web development efforts in DASA Technology Services.

Adam holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Oregon University, and attended graduate school for Postsecondary Educational Leadership at San Diego State University.
