Lisa Miles has 24 years experience in non-profit, private, public, and higher ed environments; previous employers include Evergreens Nursing Home, and Piedmont Triad Council of Governments. She has been with NC State for 20 years, building a substantial IT operation for University Housing and later for Campus Life. Lisa and her team merged with DASA Technology Services in 2016, where Lisa serves as Assistant Director. Her duties now include those listed below under the Functional and Strategic Lead sections.

Lisa earned a B.S. Info Systems & Operations Management for UNC-Greensboro, and two M.S. degrees from East Carolina University — one in Technology Systems and the other in Instructional Technology. She is currently pursuing a MBA from NC State University. She holds certifications in A+, Net+, Security+, Network Technology, and ITIL Foundations, and has completed NC State’s Performance Leadership Program.

Functional Lead – Applications Development, Facilities, and Planning

  • Applications Development and Administration – Custom development of web-based systems for DASA units
  • Application and system administration – Enterprise Systems  – Integration of SIS, HR, FIN data from PeopleSoft to DASA systems; Coordination of other enterprise services (OnBase, OIM, Recorder)
  • Web Site Support  – WordPress administration
  • AV and Classroom Spaces – Provide a consistent A/V learning and meeting environment, ensure current standards while exploring emerging technologies
  • Physical Security – Installation of door access, security cameras, security systems
  • Facilities Integration – Projects/Construction; Wireless installations, recabling projects, outlet installations; Building design and renovations meeting (large scale)
  • Procurement and Technology Planning – Procurement protocols and standards (equipment for DASA units); Unit technology budgeting protocols; Vendor contracts; Assistance with DASA Tech budget and planning
